Welcome to the first week of the Holiday Support series!

This week we’re focusing on setting intentions and I’d like to share why doing so can be helpful ahead of the upcoming holidays.
When we think of holidays, we’d hope that it’ll be a time of recharging and refreshing our minds and bodies but very often things can get in the way of achieving that. For example, holidays can be stressful if we're not sure about how to practice self-care, when we feel anxious about family gatherings and events, or even stress about the financial burden that inevitably comes with the holidays.
So, setting intentions can actually be a good way to reflect on the aspirations you have for yourself, and help you find more balance while navigating within life’s constraints.
A good way to start reflecting on your intentions is by asking some questions such as;
- “How can i support myself better given that I experience anxiety ?”,
- “How can i be more open to others when I feel stressed?”
- “How i can put 5% less pressure on myself ?”
A gentle reminder — When you consider the questions above, read them out and see how your body reacts and feels to it. And follow your signals to find intentions that seem realistic and supportive for you.
Have you tried setting intentions before ? Or maybe you feel resistance to the idea of setting intentions? All reactions are all welcome and I’d be curious to hear how it’s like for you, if you’d like to share.
In the next post, we will share an exercise that you can use to try and set your own intention:
